Treutlen County Development Authority is very pleased to announce that Florida Hardware Company has just let it be known of their intention to locate here in Treutlen County at the site of the previous Veratex facility, aka the Roydon Wear building. Florida Hardware is an major distributor of hardware, agricultural and household products throughout the Southeastern United States, Central and South America.
The Soperton plant will be manufacturing high quality galvanized gates and livestock
equipment. After careful consideration of several industrial sites and weeks of meeting with the Development Authority officials, it was decided this past week to locate in Soperton. The new operation will begin January 1, 2014. Once it is fully operational it is estimated to create 25 new jobs for the area.
