Having a large family, bunk beds are a necessity in my home. Unfortunately the quality of the beds I had to choose from at my local big box store were less than desirable. Assembly was always a pain and the instructions were lacking at best. Even the expensive models didn't stand up very well to the daily use and abuse dished out by my children. Being a tinkerer a heart, I design a modular bed system that is built using the same materials used in our heavy duty gates. You can start with a twin, then go to a loft bed and eventually have a bunk bed. This bedding system grows with your family.
